Bracing for The Exit

The worst is yet to come.

Trump is a narcissistic sociopath and serial abuser, and Americans have been his punching bag for four years. As it becomes ever more obvious that Trump will be removed from office in January, we can expect that he will lash out more often and with greater ferocity against anyone he can. He has the emotional capacity of a five-year old boy, but he won’t have his mommy to give him succor. He will be in the greatest emotional pain of his life, and he will think making others feel greater pain will be the only way he will be able to relieve his own. Systematic abusers who get cut off from their abusees by divorce or other methods often become homicidal, and we should expect a proportional equivalent from Donald Trump. Think scorched earth.

I would not be surprised if he tried to start a war after failing to privatize every department of the executive branch. I hope I’m wrong, but I believe he will try to get away with as many atrociously evil acts of predation as possible. He will probably punch down every chance he gets, firing staff and employees. He will probably try to humiliate those closest to him.

As a lame duck, I wonder how much longer the conservative press and the GOP will put up with his bullshit. Even though he will no longer be in office, he will still have political clout as the de facto leader of the alt-right, and even in prison, he will be able to make his voice heard. I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to flee to Russia or China (i.e. countries that might not extradite him) before the FBI issues its warrant for his arrest. And he will throw everyone under the bus as he makes his escape, even his own family members. He will try to get away with every dirty crime he can. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to light the White House on fire. “Scoundrel” is too kind a word for him. “Feeble-minded sack of waste” might be too kind.

By contrast, former gubernatorial candidate Stacy Abrams went across the country registering voters to make sure that black votes would not be suppressed in the 2020 general election. Right now, Stacey Abrams is the unofficial queen of the USA, and Biden partially owes his victory to her. After he takes office, he should give her a cushy Washington job, since she is the primary stateswoman of America right now. That’s the least Joe Biden could do for her.

Kamala Harris was a major factor in this election too. Again, black women really carried much more than their fair share this election. Only forty-three percent of white women voted for Biden, whereas ninety-one percent of black women voted Biden-Harris. Talk about picking up the slack. Did you know that the majority of white people have not voted for a Democrat since JFK? That’s embarrassing. The southern strategy has been so successful that it has won the majority of white votes for the Republican Party in every election since LBJ committed to desegregation. The Republican Party is the party of white supremacy, a fact that Trump has made more clear than ever, but that’s the way it has played out for decades.

The election has not yet been officially declared, but as more absentee ballots are counted, it’s clear that Biden will be victorious. Trump is a fool. He should have resigned already. It will be a miscarriage of justice if Trump is not arrested the minute after Biden is sworn in.

In conclusion, we have a rough road ahead, but ultimately, Biden should be able to start helping the nation heal very soon. Keep practicing your social distancing, friends. Wear your masks. Stay safe. Stay healthy. One Love.

    1. Thank you! It means a lot to me. We’re watching the news right now. After Pennsylvania decided the winner, the news outlets are declaring Biden the next president. America rejected fascism, despite millions of white Americans’ support for Trump.
